This position has flexibility and can be based in one of three Ceres office locations: Minneapolis, MN, Houston, TX, or Sarasota, FL.Education Requirements:
Four-year degree in health and safety related field. Certification as a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) is preferred, but not required.Experience:
This position requires a minimum of ten (10) years of experience in a dynamic heavy/civil/infrastructure construction safety & risk management program. The candidate should have effectively managed and administered a comprehensive safety, risk & environmental management program and possess thorough knowledge of claims management.Regulatory Knowledge Competencies:
Thorough knowledge of all OSHA regulations, including Call OSHA; Corps of Engineers (EM-385 safety requirements); Federal DOT; On-Line Web-Portal prequalification (ISNet, Browz, Avetta, etc.).Position Summary:
The Director of Safety, Risk & Environmental Management is an integral part of senior management that provides organizational leadership for a comprehensive risk management and safety program, including claims management. This role examines and recommends risk, safety, and environmental policies and practices to reduce risk in the field, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations while advising managers on safe work methods and practices, including environmental hazards.Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, use hands to manipulate, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Physical demands may vary from site to site.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and outside weather conditions.
