University of Kansas, Lawrence, KS, Full-time, EngineeringPosition OverviewThe Department of Aerospace Engineering at the University of Kansas is seeking nominations and applications for multiple tenure-track faculty positions at the rank of Assistant Professor. The Aerospace Engineering faculty are engaged in numerous externally funded research programs with support from Federal (NASA, NSF, ONR, AFRL, ARL, FAA), Industry (Lockheed, GE, Microsoft Research), and other sources. Applications are welcome in any area of collaboration with existing faculty, including but not limited to aerospace structures, unmanned aircraft systems, remote sensing, and hybrid electric propulsion. The new hire will collaborate with faculty in other areas of Engineering and other disciplines to advance research and education.Job Description40% - TeachingDevelop curriculum and teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Aerospace Engineering. Mentor graduate students in research and serve as the major advisor for master's and doctoral theses.

40% - Research/ScholarshipDevelop and direct a sustainable research program, establish a strong externally funded research program, and disseminate findings through peer-reviewed publications.
