The Department of Aerospace Engineering at the University of Kansas is seeking applications for multiple tenure-track faculty positions at the rank of Assistant Professor. The faculty are engaged in numerous externally funded research programs. Applications are welcome in any area of collaboration with existing faculty, including but not limited to aerospace structures, unmanned aircraft systems, and hybrid propulsion systems.Responsibilities

40% - TeachingDevelop curriculum and teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Aerospace Engineering. Mentor graduate students in research and serve as the major advisor for master's and doctoral theses.40% - Research/ScholarshipDevelop and direct a sustainable research program, establish a strong externally funded research program, and disseminate findings through peer-reviewed publications.20% - ServiceParticipate in University, School, and Departmental service activities, fostering relationships with industry and the community.Required Qualifications

Earned doctorate in Aerospace Engineering or a closely related field by the start date of appointment.Demonstrated teaching excellence in a university setting.Record of scholarship evidenced by publications and/or patents.A promising vision for an externally funded research program.Contact Information
