Minimum requirements:
A BSc. degree with experience in specific research areas (e.g., molecular biology, biochemistry, or similar) is essential. Additional experience with bench lab work is preferred.
Knowledge of immunology, molecular biology, histology and routine biochemical assays.
Mouse colony breeding and maintenance experience are desired.
Flexibility in work schedule to accommodate experimental needs that may occur on any day of the week.
A team player, able to collaborate and motivate successfully.
Ability to plan workload effectively.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work well independently or as part of a team.
Ability to interact in an appropriate and professional manner.
Demonstrated cooperative behavior and positive problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
Available to work dependable, flexible shifts.
Responsibilities:
Molecular biology including qPCR, DNA electrophoresis, DNA and RNA preparation and Western Blots.
Routine histology stains, immunohistochemistry, immunocytochemistry.
Conducts mouse colony maintenance and breeding.
Performs primary and immortalized cell culture experiments.
Performs related duties as assigned.
Conduct molecular biology assays and experiments, immunohistochemistry, immunocytochemistry, histology.
Conduct data analysis.
Maintain laboratory records, ordering/receiving, lab routine administration and IACUC.
Salary: $18-$24/hr.
