Join us and play an important part on our incredible team!What you get to do:As an Educator, you’ll make a significant contribution to our overall guest experience by helping to educate park guest, school groups, camp participants, and private groups about animal conservation. In all you do, you’ll enthusiastically represent SeaWorld by displaying a positive attitude, high level of energy and commitment to quality. You will also:Enthusiastically represents SeaWorld by displaying a positive attitude, high energy level, and commitment to quality throughout all aspects of the jobDemonstrate high quality guest service skills, and represent animal programs effectivelyDemonstrates flexible group leadership, and deliver high profile animal programsMaintains and enforces the safety of guests and animal exhibits throughout the parkConduct informative and fact-based animal presentations and interact with guests of all agesConduct guided tours for public guests and private groups to include VIP tours and PR groupsTeach Education Programs, including Field Trips, Camps, and Sleepovers and Group CampRepresent department and market education programs at In-Park and Off-Site eventsMonitor guest and animal safetyFulfill primary responsibilities of all preceding job descriptions and perform other duties as assignedMultilingual a plus

What it takes to succeed:At least 18 years oldHigh School diploma or equivalent required; Education, Recreation, Early Childhood Development, Biology, Zoology and/or related college coursework preferred.Prior experience working with childrenValid state driver’s licenseAble to demonstrate strong verbal communication skills and enthusiastically share a passion for the environment with our guestsDemonstrate high quality guest service skills, and ability to speak knowledgably about park programsAble to engage, motivate and interact with children and adultsProficient in talking on a microphone to large crowds of guestsAble to successfully complete all legal, company, and department training requirements to include, but not limited to, passing required tests and certifications within established timelinesComfortable being evaluated and accepting feedbackAble to respond quickly to safety issues and practice safe working habitsAvailable to work varying shifts/hours based on business need, to include opening, mid- and closing shifts; nights, weekends and holidaysAble to maintain composure and objectivity in all situations when interacting with guestsAble to follow all park and departmental policies and proceduresAble to stand and walk for an entire shiftAble to lift, push and pull 25 poundsAble to work in all weather conditionsAble to work indoors/outdoors with or without A/C for entire shiftWilling to comply with all SEA grooming guidelines and employment standards.Availability:Peak Season Availability, Summer time May (memorial Day) through September (Labor day):Available to work four full shifts.Available to work varying shifts or hours based on park hours, i.e. be able to work opening and closing shifts, nights, weekends, and Holidays.Compensation:$16.85 per hour
