HOW YOU WILL MAKE THIS A GREAT PLACE TO WORKThe Field Safety Technician must be a motivated, detail-oriented, and observant individual who has a passion for safety. This position has a strong understanding of the importance of safety and what it means to the construction industry.
WHAT WE ENTRUST YOU TO DOInspect and collect data from job sites through Loss Prevention Observations (LPOs)Assist in accident/incident investigations and report to appropriate partiesAssist in the training of new hires and other associated classificationsAttend and participate in all internal/external safety related meetings, as neededReport malfunctioning or damaged equipment to the appropriate partiesRespond to emergency situations when neededPerform other job-related duties as neededPromote harmony among crews and between other personnel or contractor crews, internal and external customersAlways maintain a positive attitude, especially in adverse situations and be a positive influence within and outside the companyTravel to job sites as neededPerform other job-related duties as requested by your supervisor
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLEValid Class C Driver's License with a clean driving recordKnowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within construction or related fieldProficient in Microsoft Office ApplicationsAbility to travel, drive for long periods of time, and stay overnight as required (within California)Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work scheduleKnowledge in California Government Code 4216 (USA North811), Title 8 (Cal/OSHA) or OSHA preferredOSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred
YOUR PRIOR EXPERIENCEHigh School Diploma or GED equivalentMinimum 2 years of experience in construction or related field required
COMPETITIVE PACKAGEThe pay range for the Field Safety Tech in San Jose, CA is $38.00 - $45.00 hourly.This pay range is our competitive compensation at the time of this job posting. Your pay will be determined based on a number of factors, such as experience, education, skills, and applicable knowledge.
