Assistant Professor of History, Tenure-Track Fall 2025The History Department at Saint Vincent College invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor of history who can teach courses in World History, including non-Western areas, and/or Contemporary European history (including Europe’s position in a modern context), both of which fall within the college’s general education requirements. The ideal candidate will be able to teach our two-semester sequence in each, teach history majors-only seminars, supervise undergraduate research projects, and serve on department and college committees. Expertise in and the ability to teach digital humanities would be welcome.The new hire will join a collegial department with a robust number of majors and minors and a long tradition of preparing majors for professional work and graduate and professional schools. Many of our majors also earn secondary school teaching certificates in social studies. We value teaching and service to students highly, and department faculty provide academic advising to our majors as well as support for student groups such as the History Club and our Phi Alpha Theta honors society.To apply:
