Kent State University’s Department of Philosophy is recruiting a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Philosophy to begin Fall 2024. The position requires an AOS in 19th & 20th Century Continental Philosophy. The successful candidate will have an AOC in one or more of the following: African/Africana Philosophy, Philosophy of Race, Latin American Philosophy, Asian Philosophy, or Social/Political Philosophy.New faculty will join a vibrant, highly research active, and collaborative department. https://www.kent.edu/philosophy .Responsibilities include teaching 6 courses per year, both undergraduate and graduate, supervising some MA theses, and fulfilling usual non-teaching duties. Applicants should be able to teach our Late Modern Philosophy course, which starts with Kant. Details about this course are available at
