This position will teach undergraduate or graduate courses in Mechanical Engineering and will be responsible for the coordination, planning, preparation, presentation, and evaluation of classroom instruction, including assessment of outcomes for ABET accreditation and related activities. The required duties will include:Provides classroom, online and/or laboratory instruction, including gradingWorks with faculty to identify and develop new methods of advancing instruction in the disciplineAssesses learner performance and prepares reports recommending instructional improvementsDevelops teaching techniques that enhance course effectiveness in alignment with desired outcomes and established strategy and may train other staff in use of these techniquesMay assist in development of grant proposals for funding of model instruction programsAssists in defining the objectives of the program and plays a major role in carrying out program dutiesMinimum Qualifications

A doctoral degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related science field2 years of teaching core junior and senior level undergraduate classes in machine design, kinematics, vibrations, mechatronics, controls, system dynamics, thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and heat transferPreferred Qualifications

Experience as a primary instructorEvidence of excellence in teaching (e.g., provide samples of teaching evaluations)Target Salary Range
