Division is seeking to hire a skilled educator with a passion for teaching and content expertise in communication studies.Location: Main CampusClassification: FacultyPosition Type: Contracted FacultyAnticipated Start Date: January 6, 2025 or Upon HireSalary/Wage Range: $61,946- $86,542 per academic year (starting salary range)Required Experience:One (1) year of recent (within the past five, 5 years) college teaching experience.Conditions of Employment:Successful applicants are required to complete a criminal background check.Preferred Qualifications:Twenty (20) semester or thirty (30) quarter graduate hours in Speech or Communication Studies.Substantial coursework, specialization, or expertise in communications studies (e.g. interpersonal communication, organizational communication, gender communication, etc.).Essential Functions:InstructionProvide instruction in varied learning environments, including but not limited to in-person, online, and hybrid formats.Maintain currency in innovative teaching pedagogies, instructional technologies, and relevant discipline(s).Provide students with continuous, timely, and relevant feedback regarding their performance in coursework.Student Support ServicesEngage students and encourage retention and persistence.Assist students from diverse backgrounds to fulfill a wide variety of academic goals.Professional ResponsibilitiesComply with College policies and procedures.Participate in faculty performance evaluation processes.Diversity, Equity, and InclusionDemonstrate Lane’s core value of social justice by ensuring equity and inclusion skills.Faculty report to a Department or Division Dean, and perform instruction-related duties and responsibilities in a timely manner and in accordance with the mission, policies and procedures of the college.Physical Demands/Working Environment:This position works indoors and is exposed to usual office working conditions.
