Summary of Primary Purpose
Lead, disciple, mentor, recruit and develop a worship ministry and team of volunteers in a hub campus both musically and spiritually. Preparation through prayer, thought, and intention for weekly worship gatherings and special events of ministry. Oversee and partner with campus pastor regarding worship ministry needs, including scheduling, recruiting, training, performance management and shepherding all the worship employees and/or volunteers.
Scope of role:
Oversee 3-6 employees and/or 70-90 volunteers (worship team)
Oversee campus specific GL/budget
Essential Roles & Responsibilities, included but not limited to:
Fulfill the role of Worship Leader at the weekend services at specific Harvest campus
Provides the necessary leadership to help manage and organize worship services
Lead worship at a high musical and pastoral skill level
Recruit, manage, equip and unify staff and volunteers; Provide coaching for skill development and spiritual growth. Rehearse a band with excellence.
Manage and maintain stage presentation
Relationally and pastorally active, connecting and caring for volunteers, and building teams
Actively involved in the community of the assigned campus (e.g. growth groups, campus events, training nights, community outreach, etc.)
Participate in weekly planning meetings with other Worship Leaders at Harvest; Collaborate on musical needs and direction
Contribute to Harvest Worship Ministry, providing resources, materials, and training for Hub and Spoke campus worship ministries
Work with campus staff to provide leadership when other staff members are away
Ministry Duties/Expectations:
Desire to grow in discipleship, serving, equipping, learning and leading
Personal and growing relationship with Jesus and a humble, servant-minded attitude
Ability to explain “What Harvest Bible Chapel Believes”
Ability to pray with other employees, guests and attenders of the church
Be active, engaged and accountable in the congregational life at Harvest Bible Chapel
Skills/Knowledge Required:
Expert vocal and musical ability
High level of pastoral skill
Strong ability to lead and organize
High EQ (emotional intelligence) and strong relational connections
Excellent communication skills to provide empathy and clarity
Ability to manage conflict and problem solve
Ability to identify and train others to grow and carry out the ministry
Highly confidential regarding counseling/spiritual care
Team player and contributor to overall vision, goals and ministries of Harvest
Intermediate knowledge of music software, Ableton Live (AL) and Planning Center Online (PCO), ProPresenter, Google Suite and/or Apple Suite
Basic knowledge of audio and lighting systems
Ability to write songs and original compositions preferred
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree; Worship or Music preferred
5 years full-time working leading experience
