Biotherapeutic Discovery and Engineering (BDE) group within BioMedicine Design (BMD) is seeking an Associate Scientist to support our therapeutic discovery efforts across a wide range of diseases.Our group is focused on designing and developing innovative therapeutic modalities and we are looking to expand our research team of driven scientists to aid in the development of novel protein- and RNA-based therapeutics.A desire to learn new techniques and expand the knowledge about novel technologies is essential as we look for a driven scientist motivated to have an impact on our innovative approaches.The individual will work collaboratively in a supportive environment to be trained on various DNA, RNA and protein related techniques.Responsibilities:High-throughput cloning and screening of antibodies and antibody fragmentsPool DNA cloning from antibody discovery outputsIn vitro phage library panning and clone screening via phage ELISA and periprep ELISAHigh-throughput binding assays for IgG testing such as ELISA and similar techniquesNanopore sequencing of antibodies and antibody fragmentsMammalian cell culture, mammalian cell preparationMammalian cell binding by FACSDNA library preparation (cloning and DNA purification)Phage library preparation (E. coli electroporation and phage rescue)Using automation for most of the steps and activitiesQualifications:Minimum bachelor's degree with 0 - 3+ years' experience with Bacterial and/or Mammalian Cell Culture, Biochemical Assays, and Molecular BiologyPrefer experience with Automation, NGS/Sequencing, and Display TechnologyRate/Location:$30 - $34 per hourThis is a fully onsite role in Cambridge, MA
