Operations and Supply Chain ManagementThe Department of Operations and Supply Chain Management at California State University San Marcos seeks a part-time lecturer for Spring 2025 to teach OM 613: Descriptive Analytics and OM 615: Advanced Predictive Analytics. OM 613 and OM 615 are the first and second courses in a three-part series covering descriptive, predictive and prescriptive analytics.Course DescriptionsOM 613: Descriptive AnalyticsThis course focuses on descriptive analytics, using historical data to generate insights and prepare for further analysis. Topics include data warehousing, business reporting, and visual analytics. Students will implement these techniques using R, a free statistical software.OM 615: Advanced Predictive AnalyticsThis course introduces essential business analytics concepts and tools, focusing on predictive analytics techniques. Topics include data mining, predictive modeling, and machine learning. Students will utilize R for implementing analytics techniques.A master's degree in the area of instruction or a closely related fieldWorking in the State of California is a condition of employment.Preferred qualifications:Teaching Experience in Business Analytics areasAbility to communicate effectively with an ethnically and culturally diverse campus communityCommitment to diversity, inclusivity, and/or intercultural competence in teaching.Salary commensurate with degree level and experienceAnticipated Hiring Salary Range:
