Job DetailsJob Summary
The primary responsibility for the Assistant Corporate Controller is to provide high-level support to the Corporate Controller. Contributes to the development and maintenance of financial reporting, assist with new acquisitions and ensures accuracy of financial data. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and exemplify standards.
Duties/Responsibilities
Work closely with Corporate Controller to learn and support financial process.
Support the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.
Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable and general ledger
Review and analyze monthly management financial reports.
Support the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.
Work with Business Units to audit/reconcile random balance sheet accounts on a regular basis.
Work with Business Units to Consolidate reports for quarterly reporting requirements.
Work closely with others in the Finance Department to support them with information needed.
Coordinate annual audits conducted by a third party.
Participate in preparation of Annual Corporate Tax Returns prepared by a third party,
Assist in financial analysis of prospective acquisitions.
Help Business Units manage online banking access
Assist in managing corporate credit card program and Concur (expense reporting)
Required Skills/Abilities
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
Minimum 5 years Previous Accounting Experience, preferably with multiple Business Units
Proficiency in GAAP, MS Office, and accounting software.
Strong Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills
Excellent Communication and interpersonal skills
Highly Organized and Detail-Oriented
Able to Work in a Group Setting or Without Supervision.
