Nurses in this role will be caring for post surgical, medical, PCU stepdown on IP units and ER as hold patients. Competencies for these services as well as critical drips will be expected. Ratios are 1:4-1:6 depending on patient acuity. If two major holidays fall in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work both of the holidays. If three major holidays fall in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two of the holidays.
