Certification Details ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Pass dysrhythmia exam with 2 max attempts Pass/fail Sim Lab on Day 1 of orientation Job Details The right candidate will have 2 years of current tele experience (including Neuro experience). Common diagnosis / Types of patients: Neuro post surgical, post cranis, spine, CVAs post TPA. Travelers must pass a dysrhythmia exam upon offer with 2 max attempts. There is also a pass/fail Sim Lab on Day 1 of orientation (study guides will be provided with the first day instructions). Job Requirements 2 years of current tele experience (including Neuro experience) Active BLS, ACLS and AZ license or compact COVID vaccine is required or declination form with appropriate documentation AND hospital approval. Minimum 2 years of experience - must be recent, within the past 6 months. Schedule Information 12 hr shifts. 7-7. Every other weekend for shifts. Travelers will need to pass a dysrhythmia exam within 48 hours of receiving offer Pass/Fail exam on day 1 of orientation Unit Specific Information Unit: D4 Neuro Beds: 28 bed Certs: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Ratios: 1:3-4 Charge Nurse: Yes, no patient assignment. Also have a Clinical Supervisor in a management role. Techs: PCTs - 1 per every 16 patients. Scrub Color: Navy Tele: Centralized tele. RNs must be able to interpret EKGs. Vents: No IV Team: No RT 24/7: Yes Pharmacy 24/7: Yes Floor specific orientation: 2 days on the floor. Common diagnosis/Types of patients: Neuro post surgical, post cranis, spine, CVAs post TPA. Additional Notes: No ICP monitoring.;EOW; first to float, could float to sister facility, Mercy Gilbert Additional Details COVID vaccine is required, or religious or medical declination form (with appropriate documentation). Pass/Fail exam on day 1 of orientation, with an emphasis on sterile field. Study materials will be provided with first day instructions, so travelers are up to date on proper sterile techniques.
