Job Details:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced 1st Shift Production Manager to join our team. This is a full-time, permanent position that will oversee all aspects of our manufacturing operations during the first shift. The successful candidate will be accountable for managing, planning, and coordinating the production activities to ensure that production targets are met in a timely and cost-effective manner. This position requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role in the manufacturing industry, with a proven track record of strategic planning.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to increase efficiency and effectiveness of production operations.
  • Oversee daily production operations, ensuring that schedules, deadlines, and quality standards are met.
  • Collaborate with other department managers to formulate and implement policies, procedures, goals, and objectives.
  • Foster a well-trained and motivated staff, conducting performance reviews, providing feedback, and implementing training programs.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
  • Analyze production data, identifying and implementing improvements to increase productivity and profitability.
  • Monitor equipment and machinery, coordinating maintenance and repair to minimize downtime.
  • Manage inventory, ensuring adequate stock of resources and materials.
  • Develop and manage budgets, controlling costs and delivering on financial objectives.
  • Prepare and present reports on production metrics and progress to senior management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Industrial Management, Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a production management role in the manufacturing industry.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, procedures, and machinery.
  • Excellent strategic planning skills, with the ability to implement plans effectively.
  • Proven leadership skills, with a track record of managing, motivating, and developing a team.
  • Strong understanding of safety and environmental regulations in the manufacturing industry.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and implement effective solutions.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret production data and metrics.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and production management software.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
