Are you ready to take your career to new heights? We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Multi-Family Estimator to join our team in the construction industry. This role is perfect for individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments, are passionate about construction, and have a knack for numbers. As a Multi-Family Estimator, you will be a key player in our construction projects, working on high-end, multi-family residential buildings including mid-rise, condominiums, and apartments. You will be responsible for estimating costs for renovation and framing, and working closely with our team of builders.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

As a Permanent Multi-Family Estimator, you will be expected to:

  1. Prepare detailed cost estimates by analyzing plans and specifications and performing quantity take-offs for select trades.
  2. Be involved in all stages of the project, from design to completion, ensuring that the best solutions are identified and implemented.
  3. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to understand project feasibility and requirements.
  4. Evaluate and compare vendor and subcontractor quotes to ensure they meet the project's scope and specifications.
  5. Provide consultation on planning (schedules, manpower needs, etc.) and coordinate with the project management team.
  6. Continually review and monitor project costs, ensuring the project stays within the budget.
  7. Identify potential financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  8. Prepare and present cost reports and findings to senior management, providing clear and concise insight into project costs.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. A minimum of 5 years' experience in multi-family construction estimating.
  2. Proven experience working on mid-rise, condominium, and apartment projects.
  3. Strong knowledge of construction materials, processes, and equipment.
  4. Exceptional analytical and mathematical skills, with a high level of accuracy.
  5. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  6. Experience with estimation software and tools.
  7. The ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  8. A bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
