We’re seeking the best and brightest to join our team and help us achieve our ambitious goals.Your Role:As a Civil Maintenance Worker you’ll provide construction and maintenance servicing of roads, footpaths, and drainage systems as well as provision of a high quality of customer service to internal and external customers. In performing these, the occupant operates basic plant and equipment whilst representing the City in a positive manner. Reporting to the Team Leader Maintenance, you’ll be instrumental in keeping our operations running smoothly.Key Responsibilities:Maintenance of footpaths, crossovers, roads, cycleways, retaining walls, and drainage systems which will include the lifting and relaying of pavers and precast kerbs, pipes, temporary asphalt patching, minor retaining wall repairs, as well as maintenance to the city’s drainage network;Performing accurate concreting work that requires knowledge of material mixtures, mixing to given proportions and exposed aggregate finishes;Reporting urgent maintenance work to the Team Leader Maintenance / Maintenance Scheduler;Interpret works through GIS applications such as Workforce, requesting guidance as required to ensure standards are met.Who We’re Looking For:A team player who thrives in a collaborative environment and can effectively engage with both internal and external stakeholders.
