Position Overview The Financial Controller will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the company, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and maintaining robust internal controls. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in construction finance, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to lead and develop a finance team. Familiarity with Procore software is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting:
- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
- Provide financial analysis and insights to support business decisions.
- Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Develop and manage the annual budgeting process.
- Prepare financial forecasts and track performance against budgets.
- Identify and analyze variances, providing recommendations for corrective actions.
- Cash Flow Management:
- Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure the company's financial stability.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions.
- Maintain banking relationships and manage debt and capital requirements.
- Internal Controls and Compliance:
- Establish and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure financial integrity.
- Ensure compliance with all financial and tax regulations.
- Conduct periodic audits and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Project Accounting:
- Oversee project accounting processes, including job costing, revenue recognition, and expense tracking.
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting for all projects.
- Monitor project profitability and provide financial insights to project teams.
- Team Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
- Coordinate with other departments to support overall business objectives.
- Strategic Planning:
- Participate in strategic planning and decision-making processes.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to support the company's growth and profitability goals.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and operational efficiencies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in financial management, specifically within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.
- Experience with construction accounting software and ERP systems.
- Familiarity with Procore software is highly preferred.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
