What's the Role?
As part of Loggerhead's Information Technology (IT) team, the Program Manager will be responsible for overseeing all insurance-related aspects of assigned programs from conceptualization to implementation and ongoing maintenance. You have a passion for problem-solving, extensive underwriting and compliance experience and other technical software products.
The goal of the Program Manager is to ensure every program assigned to the team will be delivered successfully and add the highest possible value to the organization.
A Day in the Life could include:
- Leads the management, execution and delivery of large-scale programs (multi-year, large cost and scope, etc).
- Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled.
- Follows written risk and compliance policies and procedures for business activities.
- Works closely with project sponsor and cross-functional teams, to plan and develop scope, deliverables, required resources, work plan, budget, and timing for new programs.
- Directs analyses, root cause identification and development and recommendation of key work products.
- Drives the creation and delivery of program plans and timelines, business cases and corresponding return on investment estimates, forecasts and provides coordination, direction, communication, and status reporting for the program to all relevant stakeholders.
- Determines how initiatives should be broken down, organized, and scoped out in support of corporate strategic goals and objectives to achieve the desired outcome for the program in support of strategic business needs.
- Utilizes risk management practices to address execution challenges associated with quality, schedule and cost, in adherence with Project Management framework.
- Oversees program planning, execution, and deployment. Reviews, discusses, submits and/or approves all change requests and deliverables.
- Manages enterprise-wide strategic programs' visioning and planning to successful completion.
- Works with business partners to identify resources, assemble project teams, and assign responsibilities across the working group.
- Drives collaboration among the initiative leaders, project managers and the delivery teams.
- Collaborates with project stakeholders to develop a robust risk mitigation plan.
- Clearly defines project roles, responsibilities, and expectations to ensure appropriate accountability.
- Leads Quality Assurance & Business Analyst teams.

Knowledge & Experience
- Experience in program management and execution experience delivering complex work efforts working with Waterfall and Agile methodologies Stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- Advance understanding of risk management policies and procedures.
- Comprehensive knowledge of program management methodology and techniques; program performance evaluation and change management principles.
- Extensive experience developing, maintaining and reporting on large cost project/program budgets.
- Strong business acumen and/or demonstrated learning agility to quickly increase business expertise.
- You have a passion for problem-solving, experience with technical software products and compliance.
- P&C Insurance industry experience.
- Ten years of experience in project and/or program management or related experience.
- PMP (Project Management Professional) and/or PMI-ACP (Project Management Institute - Agile Certified Practitioner) designations preferred.
- Insurance designations preferred.
Education & Certifications
Bachelor's degree preferably in business, management, computer science, or insurance or equivalent relevant experience
Working Conditions:
- Hybrid work environment with option to flexibly split time working remotely and at corporate headquarters located in Tampa, FL.
- Required to work flexible hours and/or weekends.
Travel: May be required to travel to other domestic locations (primarily in Florida) up to 10% of the time.
