A bit about us:We are in search of a dedicated and experienced Physical Therapy Technician to join our dynamic medical team. This is a permanent position where you will be working alongside our highly skilled physical therapists to provide exceptional care to our patients. You will play a key role in supporting our therapists and patients, ensuring the smooth operation of our therapy sessions, and maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of our equipment.

Responsibilities:
- Assist physical therapists in providing direct patient care, including therapies and treatments.
- Prepare patients for therapy sessions by explaining procedures and helping them into therapy equipment.
- Maintain therapy equipment to ensure it is clean and in working order. Report any equipment malfunctions to the appropriate personnel.
- Monitor patients during therapy sessions and report any unusual reactions or responses to the physical therapist.
- Educate patients and their families about therapy procedures, home exercises, and strategies to enhance physical functioning.
- Perform clerical duties such as scheduling appointments, maintaining patient records, and assisting with billing procedures.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients by addressing their concerns and answering their questions in a professional and empathetic manner.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized therapy environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, techniques, and technologies to provide the best possible care to patients.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent. A degree or certification in physical therapy or a related field is preferred.
- At least 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapy Technician or in a similar role in the medical field.
- Strong knowledge of physical therapy equipment and its maintenance.
- Excellent customer service skills with a patient-focused approach.
- Ability to educate patients about their treatments in a clear and compassionate manner.
- Strong physical stamina to assist patients and handle equipment.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in using computer software for scheduling appointments and maintaining patient records.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Current CPR certification.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage stress effectively.
