Accounting Manager Requirements:

  • BS degree in Accounting or Finance (Master's would suffice and is preferred but not required).
  • 5+ years' full-cycle accounting - must have experience actually closing the books.
  • Sage Intaact preferred.
  • Someone who loves sports preferred.
  • The ability to work autonomously.

Accounting Manager Responsibilities

  • Oversee full-cycle accounting for 5-7 entities, including managing month-end close activities.
  • Prepare and review monthly financial statements, including the Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow reports.
  • Perform variance analysis and ensure accurate account reconciliations.
  • Assist in the development of budgets and provide explanations for budget variances.
  • Serve as the key point of contact for coordination with local teams and senior leadership.
  • Support the preparation of external audits and tax filings.
  • Supervise one direct report, with the potential for additional team leadership responsibilities.
