MED/SURG RN for community hospital. Patient population includes General Medical/Surgical Population, Total joint and Spine Surgery. Provider support includes interpretation services, lift teams, pharmacy, phlebotomy, physical therapy, radiology, rapid response teams, respiratory services, social services, transportation, and unit secretary. Provider coverage includes Hospitalist.2 years experience required. No 1st time travelers. On call, weekends, float required between four other MS/Tele unit. Tele buddy responsible for strips. Meditech documentation. SBAR communication. Dress code is blue scrubs (not provided, must be plain/no logos). 24 hours orientation.Certifications REQUIRED: BLS (AHA only, no HeartCode)ACLS cert preferred.Skills/experience REQUIRED: MED/SURG; Use of Rapid Response Teams; Blood Product Administration; Central line blood draw; Peripheral Line Care/Management; Starting IVs; Heparin; Insulin; CVA; Surgical drains; Nasal Cannula; Oral suctioning; Oxygen face masks; Portable Oxygen tank; Isolation Precautions
