Renewal of appointment dependent upon performance, program needs, and availability of funds.Duties and Responsibilities

Develop beam dynamics simulation for the UH linac and FEL.Conduct research on beam Physics and FEL Physics.Operate the UH linac and FEL facility under supervision, and verify theoretical calculation and simulations with experimental measurements.Minimum Qualifications

Must have a Bachelor’s degree with a focus in Physics, Astronomy or equivalent subject field.Must be a current graduate student in the College of Natural Sciences, UHM.Must have programming skills.Ability to comply with lab safety protocols and work with others.Desirable Qualifications

Background in accelerator physics.Prior programming experience in Python/Matlab/LabVIEW.Experience with SolidWorks.Experience with vacuum work.To Apply:
