Duties and Responsibilities:

Assists Principal Investigator with training and research on a cross-disciplinary project involving geology and astronomy (in the area of marine geology, astrochronology, and cyclostratigraphy).Develops experience and expertise in analyzing models, developing code, and writing reports.

Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree with a focus in geology, astronomy, physics, numerics, or equivalent subject field.By the date of hire, enrollment in the graduate oceanography program at UH Manoa (applicants who are not currently enrolled may submit a CV as long as they concurrently apply for the program).Be able to work independently and in a team setting.Possess excellent communication skills.

Desirable Qualifications:Quantitative skills or a background in physics, astronomy, numerics, or equivalent subject field.
