A Boulder-based law firm is seeking a Tax Attorney with 5-10 years of experience in federal, state, and transactional tax matters. The ideal candidate should have an in-depth understanding of tax compliance, consulting, and legal strategies involving complex federal and state tax issues. The role includes providing tax-related advice and strategies to clients on various transactions, along with handling all stages of tax law cases.Duties:Provide strategic tax guidance on mergers, acquisitions, and capital market transactions.Conduct in-depth legal research on tax implications and provide accurate advice to clients.Draft and review legal documents, including tax opinions, memoranda, and agreements.Collaborate with clients and other professionals to craft effective tax solutions.Manage multiple tax-related cases, ensuring deadlines are met and expectations are exceeded.Stay current on tax laws and changes to deliver updated legal counsel.Represent clients in discussions and negotiations with tax authorities.Requirements:Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in federal, state, employment, and transactional tax matters.Proven ability to manage multiple cases with high motivation and initiative.Strong skills in handling complex and sensitive tax issues.Education:J.D. from an ABA-approved law school.LLM in Taxation (preferred).Skills:Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.Proficiency in tax law tools such as Lexis, Practical Law, VitalLaw, and Checkpoint.Outstanding client management and interpersonal skills.High ethical standards and dedication to advocating for clients.Job Location:Boulder, CO
