Certification Details Certification Requirements: BCLS Acknowledgement of various certifications and compliance documents as required by the facility. Job Details Effective 11/30/24, IU Health will not allow IN RN’s to work at their facilities (SEE EXCEPTIONS BELOW). The last day for IN RNs to start a NEW contract is 9/9 (allows them to finish a contract by 11/30). Periop/OR RN’s, Allied and Ambulatory RN travelers are exempt from this rule. These IN travelers are allowed to work past the 11/30 deadline. Periop includes ENDO, IR RN, PACU, Cath Lab RN, SDS IU Health is now offering charge pay, which is a $3.00 bill rate bump per hour First Time Travelers Accepted Shift Requirements: 4x12 or 3x12 Certification Requirements: BCLS Skillset Requirements: Minimum 2 Year of Med/Surg Experience, 2 Years Overall RN experience required Skillset Preferences: Management of dysrhythmias and Interpretation of dysrhythmias Floating Requirements: Unit travelers may be expected to float to different levels of care (Med-Surg, PCU, ICU) with resources provided if needed at both University and Methodist Hospitals Staffing Ratios: 1:5-6 Unit Information: Post Operative - Urology, GYN, GI, Ortho etc. & some pre-op patients Effective 9/1, the COVID vaccine is required for all travelers at IU Health campuses. Declinations will not be accepted; however medical or religious exemptions will be accepted with a doctor's note provided. Job Requirements Minimum 2 Year of Med/Surg Experience 2 Years Overall RN experience required Schedule Information Shift Requirements: 4x12 or 3x12 Call-Ins: If a traveler call-ins for a contracted shift, the traveler is expected to make up the day during the pay period, if a 0.9 FTE. OR if a 0.9 FTE and unable to make up during the pay period, then the shift will be added at the end of the traveler contract If a 1.2 FTE, any call-in shifts will be added to the end of the contract Weekends: Travelers are expected to work every other week per their contract. Pending operational needs, consecutive weekends may be needed based on the greatest need Charge coverage: Pending operational needs, unit charge nurse responsibilities may be needed with provided training and resources. Unit Specific Information Floating Requirements: Unit travelers may be expected to float to different levels of care (Med-Surg, PCU, ICU) with resources provided if needed at both University and Methodist Hospitals Unit Information: Post Operative - Urology, GYN, GI, Ortho etc. & some pre-op patients Staffing Ratios: 1:5-6 Additional Details Valid Driver’s License or Passport accepted.
