Using Docusign's Intelligent Agreement Management platform, companies can create, commit, and manage agreements with solutions created by the #1 company in e-signature and contract lifecycle management (CLM).What you'll doThe Doc Services team is responsible for the core platform providing unified document management and essential document operations, such as document conversion and manipulation, across all Docusign products. As the Director of Engineering for this team, you will define and lead the technical roadmap and strategy for the Doc Services platform, ensuring it is exceptionally reliable, performant and scalable. You will collaborate with engineering leaders across the company, cross-functional partners and key stakeholders to drive the adoption of the Doc Services platform, deliver continuous platform enhancements and create comprehensive product experiences that meet our customers' needs. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong technical background, exceptional leadership skills and a passion for delivering mission critical platforms while successfully balancing business requirements and priorities. This position is a people manager role reporting to the Vice President of Engineering.ResponsibilitiesLead, mentor, and develop a high-performing engineering team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvementOversee the architecture, development, and maintenance of scalable platform servicesManage the development and enhancement of our PDF library and document services, ensuring they meet the needs of our customersStay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies in document processing and managementAct as the point of contact for live customer escalations, ensuring prompt and effective resolutionEstablish clear goals, performance metrics, and career development plans for team membersCollaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Management, different engineering teams to align engineering efforts with business objectivesWork closely with product teams to define and prioritize features and improvementsDevelop and implement processes to handle escalations efficiently, minimizing customer impactAnalyze escalation data to identify trends and root causes, driving continuous improvement in product quality and customer satisfactionEvolve organizational structure to align with long term initiatives, build strong "5 ingredient" teams with good comms architectureManage technical debt, including long term technical architecture decisions and balance product roadmapJob DesignationHybrid:
