Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain the network infrastructure, including virtualization, storage, servers, firewalls, switches, routers, and load balancers.
  • Provide hands-on support and troubleshooting for network and system issues, including complex networking layers (L2, L3, L4, L7).
  • Administer systems, servers, and virtualization environments (MacOS, Windows, Linux, VMware).
  • Execute patching, upgrades, backups, and disaster recovery planning to ensure optimal performance.
  • Monitor and configure network and systems while maintaining security standards.
  • Work collaboratively with a small IT team to ensure smooth operations across the business.
  • Engage in IT project work, such as replacing storage systems and upgrading core switches, with an upcoming focus on cloud migration.
  • Create and maintain documentation, network diagrams, and knowledge base resources.
  • Participate in Service Desk activities, including occasional off-hours and weekend support.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • 5-10 years of experience in network and systems administration, with a focus on enterprise networking (Cisco) and firewalls.
  • Hands-on experience with VMware virtualization, storage solutions (e.g., EMC), and network security.
  • Proficiency with Windows, Linux, and MacOS environments.
  • Experience managing VPNs, remote access systems, and MDM solutions.
  • Familiarity with cloud technologies (Azure), with opportunities to expand cloud infrastructure management skills.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and a resourceful approach to problem-solving.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate within a small team environment.
  • Experience with regulatory compliance, such as HIPAA and SOC2, is a plus.
