Laboratory:
The Teng Lab ( https://lab.moffitt.org/teng/ ) in the Department of Biostatistics and Bioinformatics at Moffitt Cancer Center focuses on computational and statistical method development to process, annotate and interpret cutting-edge omics datasets with the mission to understand human diseases such as cancers.
The Teng lab is currently funded by NIGMS and NIDCR with ongoing research including:
Statistical modeling of spatial omic signals
Deep learning of cell-specific enhancer-gene interactions
Statistical evaluation of somatic mutation combinatorial effects
Machine learning of clinical risks of clonal hematopoiesis
Postdoctoral Position Responsibilities and Highlights:
Lead development of computational/statistical methods
Draft reports/manuscripts for conferences and publications
You will be encouraged and supported to apply for training grants
The Ideal Candidate:
Passionate and motivated in computational omics research
Proficient programming skills in biomedical data processing
Experience in omics studies
Qualifications:
PhD in Computer Science, Biostatistics, Bioinformatics, or related fields.
