Job Details:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in the medical industry. This is a CONTRACT TO HIRE position that offers a unique opportunity to dive deep into the financial aspects of a growing, fast-paced, and innovative environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial reporting, general ledger, GL journal entries, and advanced Excel skills. This role will involve a high level of strategic thinking, problem-solving, and the ability to work cross-functionally to drive operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare, analyze and present monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
  2. Oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including the maintenance of the general ledger system.
  3. Perform complex financial analysis to identify trends, estimates, and significant changes, and write narrative reports explaining findings.
  4. Develop and implement budgeting and forecasting models to support strategic decision-making.
  5. Conduct account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
  6. Collaborate with team members to improve financial procedures, process flows, and management reporting.
  7. Participate in corporate finance decisions and provide insightful information and expectations to the executive management team to aid in long-term and short-term decision making.
  8. Ensure compliance with all internal policies, relevant regulations, and accounting principles.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  2. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) preferred.
  3. Minimum of 5+ years of experience in accounting or related field.
  4. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other financial planning software.
  5. Strong understanding of financial reporting, General Ledger, GL journal entries, and financial analysis.
  6. Proven experience in management accounting, forecasting, budgeting, and account reconciliation.
  7. Solid understanding of corporate finance.
  8. Exceptional analytical skills and the ability to handle complex data.
  9. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present financial information in a clear and concise manner.
  10. Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
  11. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
