We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Process Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is a 1st Shift position within the food manufacturing industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining optimal, cost-effective manufacturing processes and methods in accordance with product specifications and quality standards. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, innovative environment and is eager to improve process efficiency and product quality.
Responsibilities:
As a Process Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Evaluating existing manufacturing processes and workflows to identify areas that could benefit from changes and improvements.
- Applying working knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials.
- Developing, testing, and implementing integrated systems for managing industrial production processes.
- Creating and modifying process documentation to ensure standardized procedures.
- Collaborating with design engineers to develop and implement production processes for new products.
- Monitoring and testing process capabilities; implementing control plans and process assurance.
- Ensuring all manufacturing safety regulatory policies and procedures are implemented and maintained at all times.
- Troubleshooting issues related to manufacturing processes and equipment.
- Communicating effectively with team members, including coordinating and conducting meetings to report on process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in Process Engineering, preferably within the Manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, statistical process control principles, and process development.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to troubleshoot manufacturing issues.
- High level of technical expertise, including proficiency in CAD software and other engineering tools.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead projects to successful completion.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work well in teams and collaborate with various stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
