Job DetailsJob Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Tool Maker to join our team. As a Tool Maker, you will be responsible for the manufacture, repair, and maintenance of precision tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures used in production processes. This role requires a keen attention to detail, strong mechanical aptitude, and proficiency in machining techniques.
Responsibilities:
- Manufacture, repair, and maintain precision tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures according to engineering drawings and specifications.
- Set up and operate a variety of machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, grinders, and CNC equipment to fabricate tooling components.
- Perform precision measurements and inspections using precision measuring instruments to ensure accuracy and quality of finished products.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to troubleshoot tooling issues and implement improvements.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment, adhering to company safety policies and procedures.
- Document work performed, including maintenance records and tooling specifications.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in tooling technology.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or apprenticeship in tool and die making preferred.
- Minimum of [X] years of experience in tool making or related field.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints.
- Experience with operating manual and CNC machine tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
