**Job Title:** Registered Nurse (RN)
**Job Specialty:** Operating Room (OR) Nurse
**Job Duration:** 13 weeks
**Shift:** 8-hour Day Shifts with Call Requirements
**Guaranteed Hours:** 32 hours per week
**Experience:** Minimum of 3 years
**License:** RN License Required
**Certifications:** Basic Life Support (BLS)
**Must-Have:** Must have 3 years of experience in Ortho/Neuro OR settings
**Job Description:**
- Work in a department with a familial atmosphere, consisting of 12 operating rooms, an endo suite, and a cysto suite.- Handle approximately 25-30 cases per day, including ortho neuro total joints, sports medicine, arthroscopies, neuro-spinal fusions, cervical and lumbar cases, microdiscectomies, and cranial surgeries.- No requirement to scrub for procedures.- Collaborate with a charge nurse available for all shifts and OR techs.- Utilize the EPIC electronic medical records system.- Participate in two buddy call shifts as part of the 4-5 day unit-based orientation.- Be flexible to work on weekends and holidays with rotating on-call duties.- Meet a call response time of 15 minutes, with available sleep rooms nearby.- Be willing to float to other specialty cases or the floor as a 1:1 sitter if needed, with same-day training provided.- Optional opportunity to pick up extra shifts for 1:1 sitting to maintain hours during low case volumes.- Comply with a dress code where scrub colors are provided.- Must be open to cross-training in other specialty areas within the OR.
