We are currently hiring a Senior Radar Systems Engineer who will be a key member within the GA-EMS Radar Technologies group. In this capacity, the Senior Radar Systems Engineer will lead systems design, trade studies, and simulations development in support of new phased array designs. The Senior Radar Systems Engineer will report into the Senior Manager of Architecture and Systems Engineering within the Radar Technologies group.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBLITIES:Perform System Engineering activities for phased array development for future air and ground-based systems.Perform system analysis/trades and develop system architecture and designs.Develop system level requirements and identify subsystem requirements allocations.
Develop lower-level software and hardware requirements and verification methodologies.Perform trade studies in support of meeting system requirements including array size, frequency, element spacing, directivity, and sidelobe level optimizationDevelop models to derive array system level directivity from element level directivity and array design including sub-system error budgetsDevelop models and perform analysis of field power density levels based on system level directivity and surveillance designsDevelop array calibration techniquesRepresent company at technical reviews, meetings and formal design reviews.

Job Qualifications:
Typically requires a bachelors degree, masters degree or PhD in engineering or a related technical discipline from an accredited institution and progressive engineering experience as follows; eighteen or more years of experience with a bachelors degree, sixteen or more years of experience with a masters degree, or thirteen or more years with a PhD.
May substitute equivalent engineering experience in lieu of education.Demonstrates a detailed and extensive technical expertise and application of engineering principles, concepts, theory, and practice with the ability to organize, plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate workloads to meet established deadlines or milestones with some experience in project leadership.Demonstrated experience in one or more of the following technology areas: Radar Systems, Signal Processing, Antennas or Apertures, Electronic Protection, Radar Calibration techniquesExperience developing systems tools and simulations using Matlab, Python, and/or C.Must possess the ability to understand new concepts quickly and apply them accurately throughout a fast-paced, R&D environment.Must have strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to effectively interface with other departments, customers, government representatives, and/or professionals.Must be customer focused and able to work on a self- initiated basis or in a team environment.Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance required.
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Demonstrated experience in Signal Processing including techniques such as pulse compression, CFAR, monopulse estimation, ground clutter mitigation techniques, range-doppler processing techniques, or SAR processingDemonstrated experience with target recognition techniquesDemonstrated experience developing Radar Concepts of Operations and System Level Specifications.Previous experience working with the Department of Defense.
