Certification Details BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications needed. Job Details The right candidate will have 2 years of current tele experience (including Neuro experience) and hold an active BLS, ACLS and AZ license or compact. Travelers must pass a dysrhythmia exam upon offer with 2 max attempts. There is also a pass/fail Sim Lab on Day 1 of orientation (study guides will be provided with the first day instructions). COVID vaccine is required or declination form with appropriate documentation AND hospital approval. Job Requirements Minimum 2 years of experience - must be recent, within the past 6 months. COVID vaccine is required, or religious or medical declination form (with appropriate documentation). Pass a dysrhythmia exam within 48 hours of receiving offer, through RELIAS, only (with 2 MAX attempts). There will be a Pass/Fail exam on day 1 of orientation, with an emphasis on sterile field. Study materials will be provided with first day instructions, so please make sure travelers are up to date on proper sterile techniques. Schedule Information Shifts: 12 hr shifts. 7-7. Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend. First to float, could float to sister facility, Mercy Gilbert Unit Specific Information Unit: D4 Neuro Number of beds: 28 Ratios: 1:3-4 Charge Nurse: Yes, no patient assignment. Also have a Clinical Supervisor in a management role. Common diagnosis / Types of patients: Neuro post surgical, post cranis, spine, CVAs post TPA. Additional Details Unit: D4 Neuro Number of beds: 28 bed Certs: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Ratios: 1:3-4 Charge Nurse: Yes, no patient assignment. Also have a Clinical Supervisor in a management role. Techs: PCTs - 1 per every 16 patients. Scrub Color: Navy Centralized tele. RNs must be able to interpret EKGs. No ventilators. Hospitalist rounds during the day and on call at night. No IV Team Respiratory Therapy (RT) available 24/7 Pharmacy available 24/7 Floor-specific orientation: 2 days on the floor.
