As a Permanent Accounting Manager in the Mortgage industry, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on our growing organization. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about finance and accounting and who thrives in a fast-paced, high-energy environment. You will be responsible for overseeing the accounting operations of our mortgage services, including the design of an organizational structure adequate for achieving the department's goals and objectives. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the success of our business.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
  • Be responsible for CAM reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations and procedures.
  • Manage the preparation of financial outlooks and financial forecasts.
  • Coordinate with the CFO in the preparation of annual budget, financial reports, and statements.
  • Develop and implement accounting policies, coordination of systems and procedures, and the preparation of operating data and special reports as required.
  • Monitor and analyze department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
  • Respond to inquiries from the CFO, Controller, and other finance and company-wide managers regarding financial results, special reporting requests, etc.
  • Work with the Controller to ensure a clean and timely year-end audit.
  • Supervise the general ledger group to ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met.
  • Collaborate with the other finance department managers to support overall department goals and objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position, preferably in the Mortgage industry.
  • Strong understanding and experience with CAM reconciliations.
  • In-depth knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles, laws, and best practices.
  • Solid knowledge of financial analysis and forecasting.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software.
  • An analytical mind with a strategic ability.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong work ethic and a team player mentality.
