The ideal candidate for the Staff Accountant will possess:

  • A bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (internship experience is a plus)
  • Superior analytical abilities to identify and resolve accounting issues

Key Responsibilities of the Staff Accountant:

  • Perform daily bank reconciliations, ensuring data accuracy and completeness
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
  • Record fixed assets and calculate depreciation
  • Support monthly/quarterly/year-end financial close processes
  • Conduct financial compliance and regulatory reporting activities
  • Stay up-to-date on changes to accounting regulations and standards
  • Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency and precision
  • Monitor and analyze potential unclaimed property liability
  • Assist with ad-hoc projects as needed

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance from an accredited university
  • Minimum 3.2 undergraduate GPA
  • 1-3 years of accounting experience (exceptional recent graduates considered)
  • Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP's
  • Experience with bank reconciliations is a plus
  • Knowledge of cloud accounting platforms like Intacct is desired
