What you'll do

As Senior Director, Monetization Strategy, you will lead and develop a specialized team dedicated to crafting and refining Docusign’s monetization strategy for our global product portfolio, including Intelligent Agreement Management (IAM), eSignature, CLM, Identity offerings, and more. In this pivotal role, you will engage with executives across the company, improving you and your team’s expertise to drive growth. You will collaborate with Product & Technology, Product Marketing, Finance, and Operations teams to optimize Docusign’s pricing and packaging strategies to drive reach and revenue.As the manager of a dedicated team of professionals, your leadership will extend across various functions, fostering a collaborative space that aligns with our company goals and values. This position is a people manager role reporting to the Vice President, Monetization and Market Strategy.ResponsibilitiesInfluence company growth strategy by providing thought leadership and insights on packaging and pricing standard processes and innovative waysStay on top of market/industry trends and regulatory changes, customer behavior, and competitive landscape that could influence pricing strategiesRepresent Docusign in internal and external forums, such as with leaders with vision, industry associations, company town halls, key customer meetings, etc.Develop and implement comprehensive pricing strategies to drive business growthDevelop the monetization strategy for new product offerings in response to customer segment, product, and regional requirementsGain a deep understanding of customer needs, identifying strategies to create customer value, and tactics to differentiate competitively through innovative packaging and pricingConduct detailed pricing analysis to stay ahead of market trends, understand customer behavior, and navigate the competitive landscapeEstablish key performance indicators and metrics to monitor the performance of the SaaS portfolioMonitor and evaluate the effectiveness of pricing strategies, adjusting as needed to improve profitability and market shareAttract and foster top talent in an inclusive, collaborative team environment while optimizing resources and skills to optimize performance

What you bring

Basic15+ years experience in a technology SaaS company/product suite, preferably in strategy, pricing and packaging, monetization, or product marketing roles, or 12+ years of experience with a Masters Degree in marketing, business strategy, pricing, or other related functional experience7+ years of direct monetization/pricing and packaging experience5+ years of people management experiencePreferredDemonstrated ability to lead global, cross-functional, and large scale critical initiativesExcel in ambiguous environments with a future facing forward thinking mentalityExcellent communication, executive presence and leadership skills to influence senior leadershipHas global or key market experience with a track record of success in leading large-scale, central initiativesAbility to apply monetization and pricing strategy expertise to conceive and develop new and novel ideas and deliverables that advance or accelerate the company’s growth plansHighly adept at identifying capability development strategies, plans, and resources that align with strategic, business, operational, people and culture objectivesA consistent track record of working across partners to define and implement central initiativesPassion for coaching, mentoring, and developing people into future leaders

Job Designation

Hybrid: Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. Access to an office location is required. (Frequency: Minimum 2 days per week; may vary by team but will be weekly in-office expectation)Positions at Docusign are assigned a job designation of either In Office, Hybrid or Remote and are specific to the role/job. Wage Transparency

Pay for this position is based on a number of factors including geographic location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.Based on applicable legislation, the below details pay ranges in the following locations:California: $195,500.00 - $315,775.00 base salaryWashington: $186,200.00 - $276,125.00 base salaryThis role is also eligible for bonus, equity and benefits.Global benefits provide options for the following:Paid Time Off: earned time off, as well as paid company holidays based on regionPaid Parental Leave: take up to six months off with your child after birth, adoption or foster care placementFull Health Benefits Plans: options for 100% employer paid and minimum employee contribution health plans from day one of employmentRetirement Plans: select retirement and pension programs with potential for employer contributionsLearning and Development: options for coaching, online courses and education reimbursementsCompassionate Care Leave: paid time off following the loss of a loved one and other life-changing events
