Granicus needs an HR Manager, Compliance & Services to lead our team's legal, regulatory and compliance initiatives and programs, and ensure our organization follows all applicable laws and mandates within the HR function. You will ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations, and oversee federal, state and local compliance with laws pertaining to employment. This role also serves as a subject matter expert and internal advisor to employees and management on immigration/visa needs. Additionally, this position is responsible for ensuring timely resolution to HR inquiries received from employees and outside parties, especially in the area of compliance. You will also monitor and track trends for enhanced services from HR and oversee a small team of HR Generalist/Coordinators and office administration staff.What your impact will look like here:
Lead, and be responsible for, Granicus' human resource compliance initiatives and programs.As a leader, you will champion change and drive a high-performance culture in support of Granicus' vision & pro-actively contribute to development of HR strategy and objectives.Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations and oversee federal, state and local compliance with laws pertaining to employment including Work Authorization and Immigration, Employment Posters, Affirmative Action, EEO and Vets Reporting.Oversee Leave Administration including STD, LTD, parental leave and FMLA.Work with Worker's Compensation & Unemployment Claims.Maintain employment posters and notices where applicable and online.Oversee security and compliance audits, and resources, as needed from within the HR team.Stay current on, and update policies, procedures, methods, and guidelines for following all applicable laws and regulations for HR-related governance.Responsible for coordinating with SMEs annual employee handbook updates.Advise management on necessary actions in alignment with current employment law requirements; provide guidance and training to staff as needed.Stay current on changing employment regulations and implement policies, procedures, and systems by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, to reduce the organization’s risks.Oversee the timely completion and accuracy of compliance requirements such as EEO-1, VEVRA, Vets 100a reports, Affirmative Action Plans, state reporting requirements (e.g. California, Minnesota) and other reports as needed.Act as primary liaison between immigration attorneys and employees during the immigration process. Serves as a subject matter expert and internal advisor to employees and management on immigration/visa needs and compliance requirements.Provide oversight on all immigration matters. Coordinate with the HRBPs within the client groups to process work authorizations as needed.Responsible for the input, implementation, and identification of areas for growth in HR transactions and service delivery processes, and recommend solutions for faster response.Maintain HR Intranet (our confluence site) for usability by employees, relative to compliance, immigration and HR services activities. Partner with HR functional areas for updated content and communications and engagement for related branding.Responsible for process improvement, including evaluation of existing systems and procedures, and providing recommendations for changes and improvements, and implementing changes.Leads a team of HR service coordinators/generalists and Administrative staff in various Granicus offices (Tucson, Denver, Washington DC).You'll love this job if you have/can:
Minimum (8) eight years’ experience in human resources, human capital consulting or related supporting a global organization.BA/BS degree in Human Resources or business equivalent.Sound knowledge of local labor laws and government requirements, policy development and related laws and regulations.Thorough understanding and affinity to data, technology, and customer service.Strong internal customer focus and relationship skills with a flexible communication style.Consistent ability to apply solid judgement ensuring integrity, compliance, and confidentiality.Outstanding facilitation, collaboration, and project management skills; detail orientation and multitasking skills.Experience in a role requiring independent decision-making and management of conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment.Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.A passion for leading and driving agile, service-focused, business-aligned high performing global human resource teams.Security and Privacy Requirements
