Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Medical Surgical Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:30) Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours for 3-12s Experience: 1-2 years required License: Pending License accepted; valid state license required for submission Certifications: BCLS and NIH required Must-Have: EPIC charting experience required Job Description: - Work in an acute care hospital setting with a total of 233 staffed beds.- Manage patient care in a medical/surgical unit with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6-7.- Float within the scope to meet facility needs, including being pulled to medical/surgical units.- Rotate holidays as required, and assist clerical staff during the day shift only.- Commit to working weekends, with 2 shifts required every other weekend. Day shifts will cover Saturday and Sunday, while night shifts can cover Friday/Saturday or Saturday/Sunday based on the current rotation.- Wear navy scrubs as the designated color for the unit.- Complete 40 hours of orientation and up to 16 hours of modules pre-start.- Comply with the vaccination policy, which includes mandatory flu vaccination with exemptions for medical or religious reasons only.- No on-call requirement.- Travelers must remain in compliance with facial hair guidelines for fit testing.- No local candidates accepted within a 75-mile radius.- Provide two supervisory references within the last two years at time of submission.- Travelers who obtained their RN degree outside need an extended licensing and compliance timeframe if they do not hold the required licenses.- Participants must adhere to the return staff policy regarding traveling within health systems, ensuring compliance with designated breaks after set periods of service.Note: Specific requirements may vary depending on the unit.
