Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Oncology Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00-19:00 Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Registered Nurse Certifications: BLS Must-Have: - Med-Surg experience- Good teamwork skills Job Description: - Work in a 24-bed oncology unit with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals.- Collaborate with a day shift goal of 1 charge nurse, 4-5 floor nurses, 2 techs, and 1 secretary.- Manage patient ratios of 5-6:1 utilizing the Meditech EMR system.- Care for both med-surg patients and inpatient oncology/hospice patients.- Ideally suited for a positive, caring professional who thrives in a family-like atmosphere.- Dress code requires navy blue scrubs.- Expected to work 2-3 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule.- Possibility of floating to other med-surg areas within the hospital as needed.- Preferred or nice-to-have experience includes oncology/chemotherapy and hospice care.
