Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Pediatric Oncology Job Specialty: Oncology Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 19:00-07:00 Guaranteed Hours: Experience: Minimum 2 years of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology experience required (Bone Marrow Transplant preferred) License: RN License Certifications: BLS, PALS, APHON Must-Have: APHON certification Job Description: - Provide comprehensive nursing care for Pediatric Oncology/BMT patients.- Maintain patient ratios of 2:1 or 3:1.- Utilize Meditech for documentation.- Work every other weekend (or 2 weekends in a 4-week schedule).- Float to Peds Med Surg, NICU, or PICU (not critical care patients), and occasionally assist with tasks in the adult hospital, such as performing blood sugars, vital signs, and observing behavioral health patients.- Uphold our ICARE standards, with a focus on delivering exceptional patient experiences.- Engage in daily leadership rounds to ensure quality care.- Participate in cutting-edge CRISPR/Cas 9 gene editing clinical trials for Sickle Cell Disease and beta-thalassemia.
