Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Emergency Room (ER) Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Mid 4x12-Hour (14:45 - 03:15) Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week for 3-12s, 48 hours per week for 4-12s Experience: 2 years required License: Valid state license required at time of submission Certifications: ACLS, BCLS, PALS, NIH required; CPI, TNCC preferred Must-Have: EPIC charting experience Job Description: - Work in a Magnet-designated Acute Care Hospital- Emergency Room mid-shift schedule approved for 3x12s or 4x12s- Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:3- First-time travelers accepted- Required to work every other weekend- Insertion of central lines, arterial lines, chest tubes- Manage post-cardiac arrest hypothermia and intubations- Respond to code strokes, code STEMIs, and on code blue teams- Attend to trauma patients, pediatric patients, and transfers- Handle cases involving sexual assaults and mental health patients until appropriate placement is found- Possibility to float within the hospital or to affiliated hospitals as needed- Compliance with required vaccinations (Flu Vaccine required, COVID-19 Vaccine not required, with exemptions allowed)- Compliance and testing (fit testing policies apply)- Orientation requires 40 hours Additional Notes: - No local candidates accepted within a 75-mile radius- Must provide two supervisory references within the last two years if applicable- Return to the facility as a traveler requires a one-year gap after permanent employment
