Job Details:
We are currently seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our vibrant finance team. This role is an exceptional opportunity to dive deep into the financial operations of our fast-paced, rapidly growing organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing a broad range of accounting functions, including GL reconciliations, month-end close, accruals and prepaids, assisting with budget preparation, bank reconciliation, and accounts payable reconciliation. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting and a proven track record of excellence in their field.
Responsibilities:
- Perform general ledger (GL) reconciliations and ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded.
- Handle month-end close procedures effectively and in a timely manner.
- Prepare, review, and analyze accruals and prepaids to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Assist with the preparation of the annual budget, financial forecasts, and report variances.
- Conduct monthly bank reconciliations to confirm all transactions are accurately reflected.
- Oversee accounts payable reconciliation and ensure all payments are made in accordance with company policies.
- Collaborate with other finance team members to support overall department goals and objectives.
- Participate in financial audits and coordinate with auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance.
- Continuously improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in the accounting field.
- Thorough knowledge of general ledger accounting and account reconciliation.
- Proficient in month-end close procedures, accruals, and prepaids.
- Experience assisting with budget preparation and financial reporting.
- Strong understanding of bank and accounts payable reconciliation.
- Exceptional analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly in Excel, and accounting software.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively at all levels within the organization.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification is a plus.
