Job Details:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Consulting Staff/Senior Accountant to join our team in the construction industry. This exciting role involves overseeing the financial operations of our company, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and providing financial analysis and advice to management. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented team player with a strong background in accounting, particularly in cash posting, cash applications, bank reconciliation, and GL reconciliation.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee all company accounting practices, including preparing financial statements and budget reports.
2. Manage cash posting and cash application processes, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
3. Conduct regular bank reconciliations, identifying and resolving any discrepancies.
4. Perform GL reconciliation, maintaining an accurate general ledger at all times.
5. Provide financial analysis and advice to management, supporting strategic decision-making processes.
6. Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards.
7. Collaborate with other departments to streamline financial operations and processes.
8. Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.
9. Coordinate with external auditors, providing necessary information and ensuring all audit processes run smoothly.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. 5+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the construction industry.
3. In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and best practices, cash posting, cash applications, bank reconciliation, and GL reconciliation.
4. Excellent analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.
5. Proficient in using accounting software and other related computer applications.
6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to present complex financial information in an understandable manner.
7. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
8. Good organizational and multitasking abilities.
9. CPA or other relevant certification is a plus.
