We need a focused, experienced bankruptcy lawyer who is skilled in handling bankruptcies and adversary proceedings for our clients when needed.Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Bankruptcy Attorney to join our firm as a remote contract attorney on an as-needed basis. This role involves working on complex bankruptcy cases, including handling adversary proceedings and claims on an as-needed basis in accordance with your schedule. Thank you for considering this opportunity with our law firm.ResponsibilitiesManage bankruptcy matters on an as-needed basis;Assist in bankruptcy litigation matters, including adversary proceedings;Represent clients in bankruptcy court proceedings;Handle creditor negotiations and settlement discussions;Conduct legal research and provide counsel on the potential risks and benefits associated with various bankruptcy actions;Work collaboratively with the firm's principal and other attorneys on larger, complex bankruptcy cases;Stay up to date with relevant bankruptcy laws, regulations, and procedures.QualificationsJuris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school;Admission to the California State Bar with a clean disciplinary record;Minimum of three years of experience practicing bankruptcy law, with substantial experience in Chapter 7 and Chapter 11 cases;Proven ability to draft and file bankruptcy petitions, handle court appearances, and negotiate with creditors;Strong knowledge of bankruptcy laws, including the U.S. Bankruptcy Code and Federal Rules of Bankruptcy Procedure;Outstanding research, analytical, and problem-solving skills;Strong written and oral communication abilities;Solid organizational skills coupled with meticulous attention to detail;Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team environment.Compensation$200 hourly DOE
