Salary: $50,000 - $60,000 per year

Our organization is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Permanent Construction Project Accountant to join our dynamic team. This position plays a pivotal role in our operation, managing all financial aspects of our construction projects. The successful candidate will handle a broad range of financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, AIA, billing, COI, and vendor applications. This role offers an exciting opportunity to play a key part in our company's financial health, working closely with project managers and other key stakeholders to ensure our projects are financially successful.

Responsibilities:

As a Construction Project Accountant, you will be responsible for the following:

1. Overseeing all financial transactions associated with our construction projects, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and billing.
2. Managing AIA documents and ensuring they are accurately completed and submitted on time.
3. Handling COI (Certificate of Insurance) requests, ensuring all projects have the necessary insurance coverage.
4. Processing vendor applications, ensuring all vendors are properly vetted and approved.
5. Working closely with project managers to create accurate and comprehensive financial reports.
6. Maintaining up-to-date project budgets, ensuring all costs are accurately tracked and reported.
7. Identifying any financial risks or issues and working with the team to develop effective solutions.
8. Ensuring all financial transactions and documents comply with company policies and legal regulations.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications:

1. A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within the construction industry.
2. Proven experience handling financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, AIA, billing, COI, and vendor applications.
3. Strong knowledge of construction accounting principles and best practices.
4. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
5. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
6. Advanced proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
7. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve financial issues quickly and effectively.
8. A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.
