Salary: $90,000 - $110,000 per year

Job Details

The controller will be responsible for supervising the team (team of 2), to ensure all deadlines are met with accuracy and communicate with customers, project managers and owners.

Divisional Construction Controller Job Descriptions:

  • Preparing Monthly AIA Form G702 to bill customers / Construction (AIA) Draw Review
  • Collecting Lien Releases, subcontractor bills and Insurances.
  • Communicating closely with field project managers and staff.
  • Communicating with customers after coordinating with project managers and owner.
  • Verifying Subcontractors' AIA form G702
  • Providing Financial Statements; Job Costing Reports Monthly and Annually
  • Prepare schedules to support balance sheet general ledgers for auditors.
  • Cost Projections and Warranty Updates
  • Development Financials review and budget
  • Lender Draws Review/Distribution
  • Worker’s Comp and General Liability Insurances Audit Preparation
  • Provide explanations to Corporate CFO and Controller on financial questions
  • Provide supports to Corporate Controller on entities related to Real Estate business ventures
  • Document financial transactions by entering account information.
  • Audit recordkeeping and documentation as needed
  • Substantiate financial transactions by auditing documents.
  • Maintain accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures.
  • Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
  • Prepare and file reports Form 941, Form 940, Florida RT-6, W2/W3, and Form 1099
  • Audit Billing for accuracy.
  • Close interactions and communications with field project managers and customers;
  • Maintain financial security by following internal controls.
  • Reconcile accounts payable and receivable
  • Reconcile Bank Accounts Daily and analyze outstanding items
  • Solving obstacles in order to provide timely and accurate AIA Forms and invoices

Requirements:

  • Knowledge and experience of Construction Form AIA G702 G703
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in Construction Industry accounting
  • Leading Office Personnel
  • Implement policy and procedures across the field and office
  • Knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Experience with general ledger functions
  • Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
  • Ability to handle a high volume of assignments and work under pressure
  • Ability to prioritize whilst adhering to strict deadlines
  • High sense of responsibility and commitment
  • Knowledge in computer platforms and programs, Microsoft Excel, Construction Software, Gmails
  • Good Communication Skills to customers, vendors, and team members
  • Teamwork
